Description Distribution Natural history Conservation Further information More photos

Arid zones of central and western Australia.

Note: a recent review of this genus resulted in the description of several new species, largely by genetic methods.1 As such, specimens for which no genetic material exists in museums (e.g., much of Queensland) can only be tentatively identified. Most of the dots on this distribution map represent specimens that were examined genetically. The red shaded area represents the approximate Rhynchoedura distribution, but the identity of individuals from the east of the range remains unclear.

Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia
