Range

Occurs in rocky areas across tropical northern Australia, from about Broome, Western Australia, to near Winton, Queensland. An apparently isolated population is known from Gilberton Station, in the Einasleigh Uplands of north-eastern Queensland.2

Found in the following Australian states/territories

Northern Territory, Queensland, Western Australia

Habitat

Known mostly from rocky areas with spinifex (Triodia). Like other 'striped' Strophurus, it lives primarily within the thick, spiny matrix of spinifex hummocks.
