Etymology  Cryptoblepharus: 'hidden eyelid', referring to the fused eyelids.

Description

Usually having: 6 supraciliary scales; 24 midbody scale rows; 48 paravertebral scales; smooth subdigital lamellae; rounded, usually callused plantar scales.
"greyish, longitudinally aligned body pattern."1
